I was caught a little unprepared with the grant coming through before my
gear is ready.  I still think they made a mistake -- must've thought my
app came in months ago.  It was only 18 days from submitting the
application (and only 15 days after mailing the money order) to receiving
the grant.  And THEN they told me that using a money order (instead of
credit card) delayed the processing of my app "a *long* time" (their
words).

Anyway, I've been asked a few times off-reflector when I'd be on the air.
Here is my timeline.  These dates are "by" dates...that is, I intend to
have each activity completed by the listed date:

1-Nov-03 (Saturday)     On air with only about 8-10 watts to the final.
1-Dec-03 (Monday)       QRO with approx 100 watts to the final.
1-Jan-04 (Thursday)     New (less inefficent :) antenna and loading coil.
date TBD                More power.

Each of these dates may be a little ambitious, but I will try to meet
them.  I'm working on the amplifier and loading coil for the 11/1 deadline
now.
