[Lowfer] Loading Coil Former ?

I've been out of the Lowfer business for a long time, but it would seem to
me you would get a better Q if you used two wood or fiber rectangles with
slots to form an X and then wrap a #8 wire or copper tubing around the sides
of the X to form the open wound coil. (O course you would also water proof
the wood with polyurethane before winding the wire or tubing). I'd
polyurethane the brite copper with polyurethane once wound too if you use
tubing.

It's 23 In dia. by 32 In tall. It has one end-piece of same filer. Only
issue is
