Doh!  I was hoping this wouldn't come up.  Many of you are engineers or 
long-time advanced ham ticket holders.  I learned most of what I know 
about radio from all of you!

As far as for being a guide -- this may not be a good one, because in 
retrospect I believe I gave way, way too much info.  I think W1TAG's 
application would be much more the model.  Very succinct.

But I was trying to answer to the app as it is written -- very much 
research program oriented.  So that's why I wrote my app the way I 
did...if I had it to do over I would take a much more minimalist approach.

Yup -- JA once said "you get what you ask for", or something like that.  
So I tried for the whole band.

application, my exhibits, and the grant.  If you click on "View Notes", 
the one liner they wrote might be all that would be needed in an 
application ... maybe not much more than that.

Again, I think JA's (WD2XES) is much, much better...so is Laurence's.

AND -- on a final (no pun intended) note, WA is right about what can be 
done at 1W.  This part 15 beaconing is way fun.  At first, I will need to 
use some of my equipment on 137 so my part 15 beacon may go down for a 
while (not yet) but my intention will be to return it to service as soon 
as possible after that and run both beacons.

Hope some of this is helpful to any of you.  Hope you all get cracking -- 
while some will not be interested in this sort of thing, I for one would 
like to try a 2-way QSO or two.  Heck, I want to do that with my part 15 
beacon, too.
