Saw that map yesterday afternoon and was thinking the same thing especially
with temperatures here down in the 30's. Unfortunately, it was noisier than
heck at my location - some 8 - 10 dB more static than a quiet night!
I know a consultant to HAARP that's been busy "modulating" the ionosphere
(polar electrojet) at ELF, LF and higher I believe. He said they were going
to be quadrupaling their power soon...so I'm starting to wonder...he also
said their diesel generators currently burn about 1000 gallons a night! How
many watts would that be?
