Hi,
I am new to this reflector and have an interest in Lowfer activities
recently. I have been licensed for 32 years as WA4AOS, except for my first year as
WN4AOS, when I was 15. I work mostly CW and enjoy QRP and DXing. My QTH is a
small village in upstate SC known as Laurens. My background includes Electrical
Engineering and I my favorite operating system is solder; and when I have to,
Windows 2000. Hi.

I read about the low band 160 to 190KHz years ago and have never really heard
anything in that range other than NOISE. I have read about the QRSS mode and
the various waterfall type, " fourier" programs.
My questions are where do I go for good information about what is happening
in this range? What modes are best? How about construction articles such as
preamps, converters, transmitters and loading coils? Any beacons in SC and what
freq?
Any advice would be appreciated..

Thanks and 73,

Glenn WA4AOS
