If you can accommodate the 30ft diameter of the K9AY, go for it.
For one thing it will have a larger capture area, 390 sq ft against 100 sq
ft for a 10ft square loop and for another you'll be able to switch between
the four points of the compass at the flick of a switch.
If you can erect a larger loop, than the standard K9AY, which was designed
for 160/80m, then do so as you'll get even more signal at LF.
