Wow, talk about uncanny!  I hadn't heard a reference to Tilletsons in ages,
and now twice in one day!

Just this morning I was talking with a fellow who has a classic Triumph
motorcycle for sale--which, of course, uses Amals, not Tilletsons.  But over
the years he has also collected and worked on a variety of Cushman scooters,
and he brought up the subject in connection with them.

Parallel universes must exist!
