Well that is good for local coverage. Still too bad he didn't hear it or
maybe he didn't try. Try to find someone out at that 150 mile mark to listen
for the CW.

Just got a message back that it was QRSS.  Said he used an Icom radio (no
model given), a homemade preamp, and a loop -- over 350' of wire on the
frame, he says.  Looks nice ... I have pix I can email to anyone who
wants.

Probably nothing special as you say, Mike, but I was pleased as this and
John Reed's are the first reports I've had this season, and the very first
using my new equipment.  Looking forward to the cold weather, now!  :)
