When I look at my own numbers from previous posts on the subject I believe
the typical backyard system may only be capable of returning about 60% of
the maximum possible current (the AC resistance of the loading coil being
the only AC resistance in the circuit for max case). The reason for the 40%
loss is probably is not the length of the radials but the dielectric
properties of the gnd system. So I guess we aren't that far apart on this.
Don't get me going on this cuz I'm likely to spend my lifes savings on a
piece of clear land just for finding out the answer. <G>
