That is exactly what I have here with the radials running in the landscape
and everywhere else. Heck I even cut a tree down and dug up the stump to
find a radial wire inside the stump roots!!! I just spliced a new wire in
place of the now cut off wire and filled up the hole. If you have a cement
driveway, run them in the expansion joints and cover them with cement crack
filler. If you have blacktop, run them all over the driveway and apply some
thick driveway sealer to bury them in the goop.

the main current return will be closest to the base of your antenna.
for the same amount of wire tiz better to have many smaller radials than
a couple long ones . Like mike indicated anything you do will help on HF
and as well;;on LF. By using ground cloth, weed barrier staples ( local
wall mart
lowes whatever ) will pin the wires on top of your lawn and the grass
will grow them
under. Course that depends on what the wife thinks looks good.

I did bend some long ones around the house and then spread them out in
the front yard
mixed them in to the shrubs etc
