Strong visual Aurora here this morning on the way into work @ 0530 hence
reduction in long range LF stuff. Best conditions "over the pole" so far
this season were friday and Saturday night 10/11th Oct, after a few days of
consecutive low K's/ Geomag. Sunday and thereafter deterioated rapidly with
the onset of > solar wind and them nasty particles stuff.
We get hit here in Alaska the first few hours after after a geomag event,
signals >600Km tend to plummet. As you head south the deteroration seems
takes a little longer...maybe a day or too when you get to 40 deg Lat (?!)
Still seeing DCf39 on 138.83K on QRSS but much weaker (40dB plus) - than
Friday night.
No lowfers spotted yet, and still nothing from MP/NA on 137Khz.
