Most welding ships have kits for low temperture (500 - 900) silver
soldering of non-ferrous metals. I have found them for everything EXCEPT
magnesium. Aluminum, Stainless, Pot (white) Metal, Cast Iron (ferrous),
best of all... You can solder these metals to EACH OTHER!!! Kits range
from $7 to around $15. Don't let the word solder fool you, these are not
soft joints, one of my kits is rated at 800# shear strength.
I have made several very nice antennas soldering stainless rods into brass
or silver PL-259s with a Weller soldering iron.
Look up "welding" or "welding supplies" in the yellow pages. You want to
find a supplier, not Billy Bo Jim Bob down the street with an oxy/ecetylene
setup in his truck...
