Bill,
I just wanted to add to your discussion of trees!
I believe that the trees in my woods have really enhanced
the performance of my K9AY!
My north-South loop is almost entirely in the woods with all sorts of
plant life surrounding it.
Many tree limbs touching the wires along the entire length. Only the
vertical support pole is in the clear.
The bottom horizontal run is only about 2' above the ground but entirely
entangled by the undergrowth.
Ninety percent of my reception is using the north-South loop.
So the trees surely are not hurting my reception and infarct may be aiding!
