My thinking is an E field probe is a high impedance device
very high impedance and needs to be clear of everything
including the layer of clear plastic that overlays my property
( Sri Frank HAR ) Actually I think the main problem is the probe
isnt directional and much of my problem isnt QRN as it is QRM
from lots of local crud. I believe it worked better at 15 Ft along
side the front door away from the other antennas. Is now Mounted on top
of a roof tower with other antennas under it /It uses its own separate
ground
and the antennas under it should have some counterpoise effect
so we will have to see I am doing a final sealing on the Mitch amp
and making up another X frame for the final loop to go in
IMHO from a good location a wet noodle will work better than the bestis
antenna their is
used in a bad location. Or you cant fix your location. I hope the
shielded loop will allow
for some reduction of local TV sets, Lite dimmers, flying bats and mice
