I've seen posts about Mitch's boards ... are these for Burhan's preamp? 
I understand the original article is in an old Lowdown.  Is there a site I
can go to with all the info I need to build one of these things?

All I have right now for LF (or MF, or HF :) is my active whip.

Any suggestions for something I could build that would be "hotter"?
