[Lowfer] QRSS?

Hi Kurt, Gary,
Yes, it's all a bit 'rule of thumb'. My 'thumb' comes derived from a different direction
altogether, being that 12 w.p.m. corresponds to about 10Hz, meaning a "5" will take
about a second to send (i.e. 5 'ones' and 5 zeros, and disregarding intercharacter
spacing (nominally 3 elements, Gary, 5 between words)). By that reckoning, QRSS3 is
about (12/30) or 0.4 w.p.m. Or should that be 2.5 m.p.w?
Since most QRSS is somewhat butchered anyway as Gary alludes, with shortened
"dahs" and spaces, all thumbs become further battered and bruised.
Cheers,
Steve W3EEE
