Just to clear up any confusion for newbies about what band we're on:

VLF = 3 to 30 kHz; LF = 30 to 300 kHz; MF = 300 to 3000 kHz; HF = 3 to 30
MHz; etc.

According to my dogeared copy of Reference Data for Radio Engineers, these
band designations were decided at the 1947 Atlantic City Radio Convention
(although at the time they used "kc" rather than "kHz"). To my knowledge,
the 160 to 190 kHz has *never* been officially known as "VLF".
