I'd agree with John D. that it's some of both. But the effect is to change
the attenuation curve. The variations at 10 miles are greater than those at
2 miles.
But antenna current readings taken with temperature-compensated meters (as
opposed to thermocouple meters) would go up somewhat in the winter. Not as
much as the FS, though.
