Obviously I don't want to discourage anyone from building the protoboard
converter on my web page, but it's hard to beat the price of the Jackson
Harbor kit at http://jacksonharbor.home.att.net/ham.htm  Several people on
this reflector have bought the Jackson kits -- any results to report?

Either circuit can be modified fairly easily, with the addition of an
oscillator/divider IC, to serve as a downconverter for the "Software IF"
receiver at http://www.qsl.net/k0lr/SW-RX/sw-rx.htm That design *does* allow
reception of the ultra-narrowband modes that most LowFERs are presently
using.
