I am working on the design of a phasing exciter that would allow you to take
the sound card output of programs like Jason, MultiPSK, and WOLF (as played
through Cool Edit or whatever) and generate RF in the 160-190 kHz range. I
have such a thing, but the design involves some hard-to-get parts.
Question: For those of you who might want to build this gadget, would it be
a deal-breaker if your source of RF had to be at 4X the output frequency?
I'm guessing that most of you would want to use your regular
frequency-controlling setup. Warning, though: Most of these modes take up
extra spectrum space, and are NOT suitable for use near other Lowfers! You
would want to be off by yourself where you wouldn't bother the other guys.
Let me know your thoughts on the subject...
