I have been trying a new receiving antenna - as described by
Jim M0BMU - bandpass receiving loops - using four pieces
of 1/2 in copper tubing ( comes in 12 ft lengths from Home
Depot ). 
Copied XFX marginal but just readable.

Haven't heard back from Paul - so don't know if he's seen it yet.

John is right - receiving is a lot more fun. But I would like
to join Eric - we think just below his present frequency -
as soon as I can cut a few branches and get the wire in
the clear. All the capacitor leaves are finally gone...
