Hey Bill,

I left work early today with all good intentions of getting outside before
dark too make
some measurements.
As luck would have it, there were a few parts that needed to be dropped off
at Jay's shop.

When I got home somehow I rooked into dropping off this kid at one place,
and pickin up another at this
other place, and yet a 3rd after the basketball game. ER(end result) got no
measurements taken.
ZIP ZIPPO NADA.

Have to wait till Saturday. I will get turns ratio, current,

Sorry

Paul,

What is the number of turns in the primary your transformer and the P-P RF
on the primary? Assume you are using a #61 core? The Q of your loop is
likely >500. ....And there's no way to avoid the high Q. Turns out the ERP
of any Pt 15 Lowfer and Medfer loop, run at constant input power (such as
1w or 100mw), is close to being proportional to the Q of the loop. It's
possible that your wavering resonance has to do with your lack of stiffness
(in the copper tubing) Oh gees, here we go again <G>

Anxious to see the results of your height experiment. I'll do the same here
and we'll see how they compare. I hope the dense forest surrounding my loop
will have no effect on the signal (as is luckily the case for the Lowfer
loop). Eventually I'll move the Mloop loop into the back woods for the
ultimate test.

Right now I'm seeing some random FM on USA but it's not nearly as bad as two
nights ago. Last night the FM was fairly low. For all three days of
following your signal there's a fade in/ fade out at sun set and sun rise. I
see nothing during the day - so the propagation at 120 miles has been 100%
sky wave.

Keep up the good work. You may just be able to beat that ole Medfer vertical
of yours!

Bill A
