[Lowfer] Scoop on the Loop

Hey Mike,

Here is the scoop on the loop.

40 foot loop of  .625 Copper tubing  configured as a diamond, actually a
square tilted on its side since I've only 1 vertical support at the moment.

Fed at the base with a ferrite toroid core that just fits over the copper
tubing,  wound with the appropriate number of turns for matching.

The tuning capacitance is around 550 PF     This consists of a .0004 silver
mica and an air variable in parallel to tweak it in.

The tuning network is in a PVC box hanging in midair.    Very, very touchy
tuning, not sure if all that "Q" is healthy

Improvements envisioned

1) Convert capacitor tuning to all air.

2) Remote tuning from the house using 1 pair of a Cat 5

3) Raising the top of the loop to 50'  as an experiment.

4)Elimination of  as many as possible solder or mechanical connections

5) remote current monitor from house. use another pair of cat 5
