The program "QUAD", by Jim Tonne WB6BLD, is a nice tool for phase shifter
design. You choose the number of op-amps and set the band edges and the
program then computes the optimal component values and plots suppression
of unwanted sideband. I don't have the URL at hand but try googling wb6bld.
Thanks for the tip. I do have a copy of it, as well as some commercial
software for active filter design. I used the QUAD program to design a
simple filter centered on 800 Hz, but never actually built it. Since I have
a small collection of surplus boards from work that have a very nice (10
op-amp) "wideband" phase splitter, I've used those for my own projects.
That said, I think it's time to build up a prototype unit that can easily be
duplicated by others. Once I finish a current project, I guess I'll do that!
