Hank, are you asking what the Medfer band all about? I'll wait for your 
return on this because it isn't simple to explain. The power limit is 100mw 
and the antenna is restricted by the FCC to a length of about 10ft including 
ground return. Paul's running a 10ft tall loop made out of 5/8" copper 
tubing and I'm about 120 miles away.
