>Hi Kurt,
I am not sure what frequwncy your scope "listens" to. I know one can easily
hear the rise in background noise say, on 40M when the ionized particles hit
the earth.
On 1296 MHz with a 14' dish, I see typically 19dB of sun noise. During an
active sun, the increase in sun noise (dB) has a 1:1 relationship with the
reported 10cM solar flux; see:
http://pages.pathwaynet.com/~fblumn/page1.html

In fact the solar flux # at the time of measurement MUST be taken into
account if the reuslts are to be meaningful.

With the same dish, I can just see moon noise.

Others who better understand the underpinnings of Argo can comment better on
what settings would be best. My own first blush thought would be that
because the noise is incoherent, integration yields no increase in "S/N",
and therefore Argo might not see anything- and then again, I could be wrong.
