I believe the braid is cut to 3/8th inch at well as OJ the cable 3/8th inch.
Now hold it next to the connector housing and see how long the center
conductor needs to be so the pin is flush with the end of the housing. Strip
the center insulation the appropriate length and solder or crimp it on. I'll
have a look at a search engine to see if I can find a nice picture. Try

I have some 6-piece solder-type BNC connectors I want to put on a length
of RG-58 I have to run from my exciter (indoors) to the amp (outside).

That's the good news.

The bad news is...I don't know how to put these things together!
