Well I am going to go read the Part 5 rules and see if it says to be a
licensed amateur operator or not to be able to apply for a Part 5 license.
The antenna height will be determined by how close you are to an airport.
Under 200' keeps away from FAA lighting requirements. So say 199' maximum. I
would ask for 1500w amplifier power output. They would want an ERP maximum
so what is good; 1w, 2w or something??? I see no reason right now myself
about going for a wider band so we can use SSB or other voice modes and not
be so crowded. I believe there is at least one Part 5 station that is
authorized to use the complete 160-190kc band, so maybe ask for 30kc
centered on 136kc??? SHMRG has 6kc bandwidth centered on 166.5kc.
What else needs to be covered??? Tips, ideas, a kick in the butt??? Hi Hi...

Ideas:
135.7-137.8 kHz >> I think this is the common LF band freq in Europe. I
don't remember what the original petition was for. But the more the merrier.
Maximum e.r.p. of 1 Watt - 1500 Watt input Limit
No restrictions on mode except to confine it within band limits
25 mile radius for mobile and portable operation
200 foot height antenna limit no limit on horizontal
Unattended operation for beacon mode?
Do you really have to be a ham to get a part 5 license?
