John,
>TAG was off last night. It's back on now, and will be there for a few days.
>To make it easy to identify, I am running DFCW with 0.1 Hz shift. Dots are
>on 135922.0, and dashes on 135922.1. The elements are 120 seconds long, and
>look fine on a 60 second screen. Power is still 0 dBm.
Good news/bad news: I told you this morning that I that I couldn't find my
overnight captures of TAG. I found them tonight but TAG is, at best, very
weak. This includes the captures tonight at 7:00.
Do you have a way of checking your signal level at 300m? 0dbm for a power
input may be too low when one accounts for the reduction in antenna
efficiency. I just changed to 137.734 in order to get away from that local
carrier near 127k that I mentioned over the weekend and find I'm about 2X
too strong here at work. I'll back this down when I get home. (SORRY FCC)
This will make WA about 32x below the normal signal level in uv/m. Let's
see; that's a power ratio of ~1000 to 1 so your 0dbm is close to what I will
be sending once I make that 2x correction. I'll check the numbers out in
more detail later.
Bill
