Yeah...I guess that sounds strange as I re-read it now.

Running a 2.4 GHz wireless network bridge between home and my shop at
the airport - about a mile and a half away. Here at home there is a 220'
run of ethernet (120' to the tower and up the tower to the 100 ' level)
to the 2.4GHz transceiver and yagi antenna. DC power is sent up the
ethernet cable as well. Going with shielded CAT5E for lightning
protection purposes - all I've got up there right now is ordinary
unshielded CAT5E (temporary for proof of concept) so I'm not very well
protected. Learned years ago with the VHF/UHF multi multi that power to
sensitive equipment on the towers (read GaAsFET preamplifiers) needs to
be over shielded cable.

BTW, we've got pretty good static tonight but I'm seeing bits and pieces
of TMO. Guess we've got all summer to play with element lengths to see
what works best with all this static. Not sure we need listener
adjustable element lengths but it would be cool to give it a try!
