Fence it off with a plastic fence. I always shut down my vertical if the
kids are out back. Better yet put a big plastic enclosure around it so it
stays dry.

I've been wondering about this:  I know you are using alot more power (75W
is it?) but I also realize that there is alot of voltage at the top of my
loading coil although I'm only running 1 watt.

How dangerous is this?  How careful should I be that my children don't get
near any connections at the top of the coil?

Sorry to be so ignorant, but this is a serious question.
