QRZ shows Doug near 38.9914 x 105.0642.  Range and bearing program BD
show him to be 1784 miles from you.  Those coords are just NW of
Woodland Park so your calculations agrees with DB.

Fairly sure.  Steve gave me his coordinates and I know where I am.

BTW, BD shows us to be 710 miles apart.
