Eric,
>I will do that, but currently (again, no pun) I only have a piece-of->junk
>digital multimeter that will not measure current.
That reminds me about the new digital meter I bought about a month ago at
the local electronic supply store. The idea was to use it outside for tuning
adjustments in any type of weather (you know.... semi- expendable) Darn
thing cost only $15 but has features I don't have on my expensive meter
including .6" display, back light (for measurements after midnight <G>),
transistor checking, AND has one of those thick orange drop-proof cases.
It's a Velleman DVM850BL.
>Yup. I'm using Lyle's protoboard circuit with a 12.5V supply. I >should
>be BELOW the 1W limit and look forward to tweaking that out >when I get a
>better meter ...
That's even more amazing! I had you figured for a lot more Vcc. I'm a bit
concerned, though, that you may have used up all your 'transmitting luck'
for the next 10 years!!
