Not for most 1w applications. For higher power setups the loading coil can
be used as a step-up transformer (grounding the cold end) in order increase
the power delivered to the antenna. What is your input power at the moment?
You should adjust your supply voltage so that the current into the final
transistors times the voltage is 1w.
