THANKS Lyle! I also received a capture from Roger, K0MVJ, in Duluth, MN.
I can't tell you how excited I am about it :) 36 years old and I feel
like a kid heh heh.

Well, this certainly restokes the fire. I'll be wanting to knock out the
new coil this weekend, improve my ground, and continue to tweak. The new
coil has a variometer so I'll be able to tune more closely. I can't
believe this setup has worked so well! My antenna is only 30' tall, my
tophat is only 8' across, my coil is 245 turns of 24 gauge telephone wire
around a piece of 8.8" OD PVC, and my ground is only a single piece of
wire hooked to the outdoor faucet. Of course, I'll be improving the coil
and grounding.

Also, I need to design some QSL cards this weekend and send to you guys.

And thank you to Lyle, Bill, Mike, Peter, Mitch and everyone else who
helped me get started.

I haven't had the chance to see what the distance is from Glenpool to
Duluth or Aitkin but I'm sure it's considerable! Perhaps I'll get some
contacts from the east? AL, MD, ....

Thanks, guys. If anyone else copies, please let me know. Looks like I'm
at 185.300 instead of the published 185.302.

Regards,
Eric
