Wow.  Now THERE is an idea.  I can wind a micro-lowfer-coil  within the 
next couple of hours and my beacon can operate while I finish this honker 
coil (Mike, this big coil will picture will be one fit for your QTH wall...say 
right above your operating position).

In fact, I just got home with a plastic 1-gallon salad dressing jar from a 
friend who works in a restaurant.  I was in his garage, looking at this 
jar sideways...I had to have it.  Now I think I'll press it into service!
