Ha, good question, Bill. They're not seen/found by me. Also don't see
kids out playing in yards, streets, vacant lots as I (we?) did. Guess
now it's all "organized sports," hence The Soccer Moms. I'm not trying
to blame anyone, only noting it's very different now, likely too many
scheduled things to do all the time.
I still give when the ARRL asks for funds for the kid's-in-radio
programs. Hope they have some handle on it.
But what sense does it make to a kid to learn radio code when he's
likely on the Web while talking on his Cell and simultaneously watching
satellite VH1? Go figure.
