Hi Bill,
The program is designed to teach the code characters at
a high rate. It prevents you from having the 12 wpm barrier.

You can slow down the effective rate to 6 or 8 wpm.

I  have the character speed at 25wpm but the effective 
rate at 8.

Go for it.
