And my little birdie says 2.5mh and you should be right in the ballpark. I
think Lyle is out of town or he would have gotten back to you with the exact
figure.

Seriously, guys, I need some help!

All I need to know is (approx) the amount of induction I need -- then I
can use AWG-COIL to figure out the physical properties of the coil
(length, width, # of turns, etc) myself.

I'm just having trouble figuring out how much inductance I need for my
antenna. Please see antenna details below.

I appreciate your help in advance!
Regards,
Eric

Help!

I'm having trouble figuring out how much of a loading coil I need using
NF. Could one of you run these numbers for me?

My antenna is 30' from the ground to the top -- 22 gauge.
My tophat has 4 x 4' radials (5/16" dia) with a 4 x 22 gauge skirts at 1',
2', 3', and 4' radius.
Target frequency is 185 kHz.

I was successful modeling this thing before I built it -- now I don't know
what I'm doing wrong. I want to build the loading coil, but I can't
figure out how much inductance I need.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Eric
