Hello Folks,
Well since I figured out how to program the 3586B Frequency selective level
meter, I have decided to try a new format.
I have been thinking about all the time that is wasted in the QRSS format
when the carrier is off.
DFCW is certainly better but still some inter-element spacing is needed to
distingiuish between 2 dits or dashes in series.
So... One day while relaxing in the privacy of my bathroom .... just me
and my chunk of porcelain and ideas enters my head.
Well if it made through the multiple layers of my head... then I am sure it
has already been tried. It seems simple though and easy to implement.
So this format needs no inter-element spacing saving some time and minimal
inter-character spacing.
I have not yet done the math to see how much time is saved over QRSS and
DFCW.
Bandwidth is 1.5 Hz Starting at 185.297.0 Khz and using .25 Hz increments
from there.
The mystery word is 4 letters long and will repeat for the next couple of
days. Would someone please try to decypher it?
Each element is 60 secs long.
I will give some clues later in the unlikely event that no one figures out
the coding.
Also are there any live feds still running? Would like to see what it looks
like at a distance.
Jay..... You can't play because you have an unfair advantage :-)
Captures appreciated
