Larry,
>I am pretty sure that my coax is my problem!
>Since I have four 50 sections joined to make the
>200' run and it has been under snow/water for weeks now!
>I plan to replace it with a single 200' feedline and run it underground
>with irrigation pipe like Mike suggest. Not until spring though!
I'm really interested in looking at my lower 50ft section. I wouldn't have
thought there would be this much loss at LF, no matter how much moisture is
inside. I suppose, however, the distributed capacity and inductance that
makes it act like a transmission line, gets all messed up. I used a
temporary 100ft section to bypass the suspected section and proved the upper
100ft has no loss. We have rain in the forecast for tomorrow so this should
help soften the snow and allow me to pull up the 50ft piece. This reminds me
I need to seal the F-connector at the antenna with RTV tonight or I may end
up with another disaster.
>Till then my copy will be poor or none at all.
How about running a new coax above ground, for now? This is - as long as you
are careful to seal the upper (antenna) end.

Thanks. Now I understand Dex's coding. Looks like my signals are about the
same. I'll rotate the test loop toward you in a minute or two.
