I finally was able to work on the receive (tree) antenna and take a look at
your DFCW. I found the first section of the leadin next to the house has
some kind of a problem that causes loss of 99% of the signal but the DC
continuity reads OK. Possibly water has worked its way down from the 30ft of
elevation drop of the lead-in to this lower section.
Your DFCW looks good at this distance (115mi), with dogboning most of the
time, but I think you could stand a bit more spacing between elements for
better recognition when the signal is weak.
Fun to look at the band after at least a month of no receiving! Anyone know
who is DFCW at 185.299 with less than 0.2 deviation? Can't quite make out
the code. Also weak signals at 185.3035 and 185.307(+). Quiet night!
