Dennis, yes I did listen there for a while but nothing. I likely timed
it with other east coast sightings for the opening. I'll keep on
looking.
-----------------------------------------------------------
HiFER is more interesting than at 186 because of the faster keying, ie,
one can almost tune around for some action -- like trying to find "HI,"
who has a handle on that signal? As any that hear it can say, it's very
broad and I never see it on Argo, but is that because it's about 6WPM
and too fast at normal Argo 3sec dots ??
Noticeable differences on band condx: Friday was my best day, signals
were found all over. However, on Saturday and the same times, produced
merely blank screens, with some sightings appearing near noon, much
later.
Very "interesting" signal from RAD with the slanty chars, about an
8-cycle drift on the longer chars. Ha, still readable and that's what
really counts. Saw RAD at 9:15A Sunday and again at 12:30P, but weaker.
Good listening times for me seem to be the 6-9PM and the 7-9AM times.
Was up during the late night-early morn, off and on, but saw nothing.
Cheers,
Peter, N. IL, EN51 and listening HiFER
