Hi Lloyd,
Sorry but that wasn't me. After watching my signal on the RX, I was in error
with the TX frequency. The TX batteries were pretty much dead and attributed
to the error. The transmitter here is an epson oscillator and LP filter.
I re-configured the antenna and 'DPC' transmitter this afternoon. Replaced
the PS with a 12 volt deep cycle marine battery which should keep the beacon
running a lot more stable. After calibrating ARGO with WWV (15MHz), the new
frequency is approximately 13.562.886 MHz +/- a few Hz. Using same mode of
QRSS-3. Later tonight I'll email the HIFER list this new frequency.
The antenna system is a slightly "lengthened" 20 Meter hamstick mounted to
the tool shed with (2) radial wires draped on the roof as a ground plane.
Antenna height is about 15' above ground. Nothing fancy but hopefully will
do the trick.
