Ed,

It's a slower version of PSK31. Same coding, just a lower data rate. I
believe that Andy, G4JNT, cooked it up with some software that required the
Motorola 56002 evaluation kit (not a sound card). It is a possible mode in
the digital terminal section of Spectrum Lab (which DOES use a soundcard),
but neither Dex nor I have been able to get it to decode properly. I can use
SpecLab's terminal for PSK31, and that works OK. But with the PSK08 setting,
I miss about half of the characters. So I guess the short story is that I
don't know of any workable soundcard-based software for it at this point.
