Thanks for the reports Lyle and Lloyd.  I've had it on for over a week just
to test the oscillator.  The antenna it's presently on isn't resonant and the
power is no more than 1 mw.  The oscillator is a transmit channel element for
a Motorola Mitrek.  The crystal cost about 5 times more than one of the Epson
oscillators and appears to be less stable.  Not the best way to go but I just
thought I would try something different.  Keying is done by a slight change
in voltage by shorting a series resistor with an opto isolator chip (TAG
Keyer).  I suspect the frequency will drift around with temp change when I
move it to the LF shack.  It is presently in the house shack where the temp
changes very little.  I may move it the the dipole next week.
