Expect SAQ again around New Year's Day. In the winter, there's a real shot
of it penetrating well inland into the U.S.. I couldn't copy the message
text this summer, though the CQ's and other preliminary stuff was
understandable.

Other than SAQ, don't expect many VLF CW transmissions. Most of the
operation down there is military, and they don't do much "special event"
stuff.

I fondly remember polishing my my CW skills before taking the Extra Class
test in 1967 by copying code groups from NAA and NSS. Using a 1-transistor
regen receiver, no less. Sigh...
