Hi Eric,
A technique we used many years back on the RC freq of 27.145 was an end fed
1/2 wave- requiring no radials. The end Z of a 14 gauge wire at 14MHz is about
4000 Ohms. So we just attached it directly to the top of the oscillator's tank
coil- simple and very effective.
