This is all well and good but I'm looking for a test procedure that
allows
us to test our newly constructed E-probes and place a figure of merit
on the
intermod performance. You know: like the Rac value for our TX loops or
the
total system resistance for our verticals!! (Signal reports are
secondary to
this .... right? <G>)

Oops, thought I knew the whereabouts of that AA QST issue but it wasn't
there. I suspect Queenie was at it again, her tendency is cleaning while
I'm at work.
I note the Crystalonics site lists the CP666 for about $20 w/ shpg.
Also, the AMRAD site now specs a different PS xfmr, one with even lower
inter cap. for less coupling.
A Web search turned up two other list's emails on use of this pre amp.
They're worth a look.
Here is Jake Bradsky's thoughts. He notes the need for feed line
isolation to maintain the truly short ant nature from being corrupted by
a long feed line. Makes sense. He also stresses height for isolation.

This one is by LowFER Andre Kesteloot and he also extolls its virtues
but cautions about proper grounding and height for min. noise. He
mentions some IMD on one rx (a IC738) but none on another. Compares it
to a loop-pre combo -- the AA wins!
