Ahh! Glad to learn that the freq isn't too far off and that I am making the
trip down there with this little loop. Hope to be sending on both loops by
tomorrow night so we can make signal comparisons. Suppose I can always
manually interchange change the loops if everything else fails. I can also
rotate this loop toward you with a bit of support rope adjustment and this
should result in a 3db signal improvement. Lot of other experiments planned,
including raising and lowering the loop to determine the effect of the
ground.
Sure glad the temperature is up to the mid-twenties for these tests. I still
haven't seen 'freezing' for almost three weeks. Actually saw a water puddle
today! Possible freezing rain for tomorrow. We'll see how it effects the
tuning of a loop having a Q of about 400.
